Lessons I've Learned Along the Way

The lesson I enjoyed the most was probably HTML, primarily because it presented the greatest challenge for me. As someone with no prior experience in coding or web development, HTML initially felt overwhelming. However, this challenge made it especially exciting. I was eager to learn something completely new, and the hands-on activities really helped me engage with the material in a practical way. Each lesson felt like a puzzle to solve, and the sense of progress I experienced as I learned new concepts kept me motivated.


What made HTML stand out was how much I had to focus and stretch my thinking. It was a steep learning curve, but that made the experience all the more rewarding. The fact that I was learning a completely new skill—one that could actually result in something tangible, like a functioning website—was really empowering. It wasn’t just about understanding the theory, but also seeing how those concepts came together to create something concrete.


Working on my website was a turning point for me. I found myself diving deeper into HTML outside of class by reading articles and watching tutorials to better understand specific features or troubleshoot problems. This self-directed learning really helped me grasp key concepts more clearly, and I started to see patterns in the way HTML code worked. The more I learned, the more I enjoyed the process of building and refining my website.


HTML can still be tricky at times, it’s becoming more enjoyable as I see the results of my effort and apply what I’ve learned. I’m excited to explore more advanced topics like CSS and JavaScript, and I look forward to developing my skills further. I’ve come to realize that the more I understand HTML, the more creative and confident I feel about my ability to build and customize websites. This sense of growth has made me eager to continue learning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
